Research
Dr. Fortunato is interested in the
individual and organizational factors that influence the
overall health, well being, and effectiveness of
organizational employees as well as the organizational,
environmental, and social systems in which they operate.
Specific areas of research include examining the
dispositional and situational antecedents of job stress, job
attitudes, mood at work, constructive and destructive work
behaviors, withdrawal behavior, and motivation and
productivity. Dr. Fortunato is also interested in examining
the relationships between personality and stress on sleep
quality and performance, as well as issues related to the
spiritual beliefs and practices and ethical and moral
behavior, or lack thereof, on the part of organizational
leaders.Courses
